Biography

For over 30 years Quentin has provided advice to his clients in the areas of wills, estates and estate planning, corporate and commercial, and real estate law. He has dedicated himself to providing the highest standard of legal services to his clients, and values the privilege of having many ongoing professional relationships which have continued for decades.

Quentin was born in Vancouver, was raised a few blocks away from the location of his office, and continues to live in the same neighbourhood. He participates in a variety of sports, including hockey, cycling, tennis, skiing, hiking, and enjoys travelling with his wife Linda and daughter Isabella.

Biography

Jonathan obtained his law degree from the University of Birmingham in 2018 and received his Certificate of Qualification from the National Committee on Accreditation in 2019. Jonathan was called to the British Columbia bar in 2020.

Jonathan practices in the areas of wills and estates, corporate and commercial law, and real estate. He has assisted clients in a broad range of matters, including estate planning and administration, drafting commercial agreements and employment agreements, launching an offering memorandum, the purchase and sale of businesses, as well as real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and refinancing.

Prior to joining Adrian & Co., Jonathan practiced as a general solicitor at a full-service firm in Richmond, BC.

While at law school, Jonathan was elected to be a student representative for his cohort and was subsequently nominated to sit on a board of 12 faculty members and three students to act as liaison between student and faculty for Birmingham Law School. Additionally, Jonathan was elected to the Environmental Law Matters pro-bono group, where he provided legal advice on environmental law to the West Midlands region in England. Jonathan was also named associate captain of the university’s varsity hockey team for the duration of his time at the University of Birmingham.

Prior to law school, Jonathan attended Simon Fraser University to study economics and business administration. While studying at Simon Fraser University, Jonathan spent his spare time volunteering as a hockey coach at his former high school and the Arbutus Club Hockey Development program.

Jonathan is a sports enthusiast who enjoys spending his time being active in the outdoors and travelling the world.

Biography

Scott began practicing at Farris as a labour and administrative lawyer and then moved to Davis (now DLA Piper) where he helped the firm grow to one of Canada’s top national firms. While at Davis/DLA Piper, he served as Chair of the Employment and Labour Group and Chair of the Government Relations Group and became an expert in shareholder disputes and executive employment. He attended a series of Harvard Law School Lawyer Programs in Advanced Negotiation and Mediation and was retained as an Instructor at its Mediation Program.

Scott has acted for many BC major corporations. When the tech boom hit, he focused more on serving venture businesses and their executives and shareholders. He was lead counsel for Harmon International’s acquisition of QNX Software Systems.

In 2014 Scott moved to Beadle Raven LLP, a business law boutique. In 2020, he went on his own to specialize as a strategic general counsel to growth businesses where he acted as General Counsel to a series of high-growth companies and their shareholder and executives.

An avid athlete, Scott played university hockey and tennis. Joanne and he enjoy spending time with their two sons and daughter, and their families, who fortunately all live in Vancouver.
